Hair textures

Fur and hair

When it comes to producing an illustration with hair or hair care is the same. In both cases control in hand weight is critical. Another equally important factor is to always depart with the dash from the inside out of the subject. In this way the final effect of the wire tapering to the ends will be easier to make.

Below I show two of my illustrations with different types and lengths of hair but with the same technique employed in both. Both were made on "Fabriano" paper stretched using the Noris Club pencil of the "Staedtler".

Aerografia como fundo

Efeito desfocado

Blurred effect

One more feature

Conventional airbrush has always been a powerful tool in the hands of an illustrator. In the examples that follow it served as a way to create a blurred background by extending the effect of realism to work. The paper chosen was the "MI Teintes da Canson" 200gr with use of "Ecoline" and "Polychromos".
